1st day
So Yesterday was the first day of filming, and it was quite fun! Me and Mari got there at about 1:30 pm and started getting the actors ready, putting on their makeup and helping them get into costume. There were two actresses and one actor. We got them already, however there were technical problems at the studio, there was no electricity so we had to get extensions from other rooms. Then, me, Mari, and Mauê went to the supermarket to get some snacks for the crews snack break, we took aged in the queue but in the end we got there on time. We started shooting but then me and Mari had to leave because we already had plans for the night. It was fun. Next post about our night out with friends!

Day 1 of filming
Today is day 1 of filming our short film. I'm sitting here at my friends house waiting for her to get ready so we can have lunch and got to the studio. We will be doing hair and make up today.

Crazy day
Feeling a bit better today,
Well, after a well slept night I woke up this morning at 5:30 am to take a shower and get all my stuff ready for a busy day. Got in the car with mum and we both went to get blood tests that our doctors asked for. We got there and the lady took ages to find a vein in my arm to stick the needle in and draw my blood, dunno why its so hard to find my veins, LOL. Then I went to work and and taught a few classes, my noisy students driving me a bit crazy in our psoter making moment, glue and scissors flying everywhere, but eventually we got things done. From work I walk a while to get to the travel agency to buy my ticket to Rio de Janeiro (where I'm going with my class from university, we are going to visit some of Brazil's major film and TV studios, including Globo's Projac.) Got there, bought the ticket, and walk into town to buy some new piercings for my ears.
Then I went to have lunch at a chinese restaurant (all alone, :( ), had shrimp, chips, salad and orange juice, and walked to the bus station to meet up with my friend Mariana.When I got there, there was a huge queue to pay the bus faire and it started to rain really hard. After about 15 minutes in the queue I finally paid my faire and went through the gate. I had aranged to meet my friend there at 11:30 am, however when I got there she hadn't arrived. So I sat down and waited, our bus went by quite a few times, but still no sign of her, I even met her sister there, coming back from Uni and still no sign of Mariana, she then sent me a message saying she was on her way. So I waited a bit more and finally her bus came and there she was. We had arraged to meet to go and film and document the second Moulding process for the mask for the film I mentioned a few posts ago.
So we got on the other bus and stopped near the dentists office. We ran to get there on time and to our surprise nobody was there. The main actress who was getting her teeth moulded had not arrived and neither had the dentist. So we waited. At 12:30pm the dentist arrived, but still no sign of the actress. And still we waited. at 1pm we decided to leave since Mariana had to go and I had to work. So we walked down to the deli to get something to eat and I went to work. I got there and prepared some stuff for my class and taught a few classes. At 6pm I called my motortaxi ( in my city we also have motorcycle taxis, which are faster and cheaper than regular Taxis), went to University and surfed on the net a bit. Then we started to shoot ou odcumentary, but then I had to go to my students' house to teach them until 10pm. It started to rain on the way there and I got soaked. On the way back it was still raining, but I chatted with my motortaxi driver and the time flew by. Then I got home soaking wet, drank some lemonade and now I'm here online, totally not sleepy and preparing for another busy day tommorow! Good Night or Boa Noite!

Shootings in Realengo
Brazil was awoken today with a great tragedy.
The Rio de Janeiro Massacre
Today, April 7, 2011 Rio de Janeiro suffered an unspeakable tragedy when a gunman in his mid-20s walked into the school and opened fire on children, killing 11 children and wounding 22, according to preliminary reports from police. He then either killed himself or was shot down in a shootout with police. It’s reportedly the first event of this kind in our the country.
It's a sad thing to see, in a world with so many natural disasters we still have to face the "mental" disasters of some humans, who either incontent or enraged with life and with the world end up taking it out on other people.
With so many examples of shootings around the world, From Columbine, and Virginia Tech to many others.
It's so difficult to understand why these people do this, why nobody noticed their rage or their sadness, it's hard to know who to blame for letting it get to this points, all we know is there have been too many massacres and too many shootings. Will it never end. Many inocent people dying, without reason and so many families loosing their kids. It's too much. So many films have tried to portray these events, tried to show it is wrong, tried to understand what these people were thinking when they decided to orchestrate these massacres. Bowling fo Columbine (Michael Moore), Elephant (Gus Van Sant), April Showers (Andrew Robinson), Massacre at Virginia Tech, and many others, have tried to show the world what happened and how they feel about it.
I really love my country but it makes me sad to see that with so many good examples to be taken from other countries, on education, ecology, health care and politics, we choose to import only theat useless and bad things, such as many futil and useless reality shows like Big Brother (which I personally think is a huge waste of time and money and adds nothing to our lives), obesity, bullying and now this, shootings in schools. I am angry and upset, it pained me to see the desperate mothers, hoping and praying that their child was alive and then finding out they had lost their children, the twins, one survived and the other died and so many other little ones who lost their lives because of a idiot with a gun. How many more inocent lives will be taken by other copycats of these shootings. We must spread love and not hate, we must bring good to our country and not death and destruction. My prayers go out to all the families and may the spirits of those who died reach a good place in peace.

Ideas for new clothes
Well I'm a bit broke at the moment so I haven't bought new clothes in a while, I'm actually restyling what I have or getting ideas to make my own clothes. Today I went to a store I love called Marisa and managed to take so photos os some stuff I liked, before the security guard told me to stop LOL! I also saw some great Boots at Riachuelo, great for our Winter time! Here you go, take a peek!
Shopping!
Well today I went out to buy nail polish, with some winter colours! I went to the store and there they were Risqué's new collection, a frosted black and 3 from Isabeli Fontana's collection, Rock n Roll style, a metalic purple, silver and one with glitter (photos below). I painted my nails with the frosted black and it's great, it looks like my nails are all rubbery! I was also in need of a new wallet so I went to another store called Riachuelo and there it was a beautiful leather studded wallet! I loved it, it's so me!
